Venezuela is a country with a very rich culture that includes indigenous and european backgrounds. Its graphic heritage is very diverse but also have a very crafty aesthetic. During the past 20 years this has been affected by the constant protests against the worst crisis the country has experimented in its history. The streets are covered with protest signs, they communicate messages about dictatorship, hyperinflation, lack of food and medicines, violence, political prisoners, no freedom of expression, among others.
Due to the hyperinflation, printed Venezuelan money (Bolivares) has lost its purpose, paying cash on a store requires a very big amount of bills which makes it almost impossible to expend. Therefore, I chose to use money as a way of protest and assign it a different type of value.
